My friend won a seat into the wsop and I was looking inot going with him to help him out and cheer him on. I have a fake ID but I would rather not use it if I don't have to. I don't look old enough to not get carded. Will they let me watch the tournaments and spectate if I am 18?

Probably only if your friend makes it to a TV final table.

When I was there (the first few days), I didn't see anyone get carded that wasn't playing. I was watching the first two days, I usually get IDed and didn't until I ordered a beer (IIRC). It's a big convention type room with lots of entrances, there was no security guards at the doors checking ids like most casinos I've been to.

I think your chances are pretty good.

This sounds right.

Normally, you can't railbird in a vegas casino without being carded (I know... I've tried). However, in a huge tournament room like the WSOP, an 18 year old kid that is just watching isn't exactly a security priority. So unless they have guards that card people at the door, you should be fine.

DO NOT use a fake. If you get carded and you don't use your fake, the worst thing they can do is take you off the floor. You can't get into any trouble. Just wait an hour and go back using a different entrance.

when you get there talk to a guy named Sal. He should be able to help you out.

I was in Vegas for the first WSOP event and was railbirding with my friend (who looks very young) and he was carded within 30 minutes of arriving.

Yeah just tell them you're from Yuma and you're in software.

And make sure you know if you are wearing corrective lenses.

I have seen the rio police carding railbirds. Rarely, but enough. Be aware.

No big deal if you get carded.. just leave and come back in an hour. They're not going to arrest you for railbirding.
