I'm stuck at home today while I get blinds installed in my home office, so I decided to cook something rather than grab a quick sandwitch or whatever. By the looks of it, it's going to be veal scallopini with heirloom tomotoes, or grilled chicken salad with thai dressing.

That's right, VEAL.

this week's soup was corn chowder with roasted chiles and zucchini. I roasted the chiles myself this time, and the flavor was far more pronounced. also, letting leftover corn cobs simmer in the stock for 20 minutes before adding ingredients enhances the flavor. bonus!
