Not sure where to post this so I'll put it up here.

Local Casino multitable tournament. Rebuys for first 2 hours $25 and an add on. 60 players down to 3 tables, pays final table.

Blinds are 300/600 and I have just over 4000 chips left I'm UTG+1. UTG has been making loose calls all game and been hitting trips and making straights on the flop. I think he'd raised once or twice with marginal holdings also.
Crucial decision to make on the next hand.

UTG raises the pot.

I look at my cards and see K /images/graemlins/spade.gif Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif

My thoughts are I'm a shortie its time to push and hope. So I go all in.

It's folded round to BB who calls.

flop comes Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

BB raises all in, UTG thinks about it and folds

cards are turned over and BB show pair 7 /images/graemlins/frown.gif
UTG says he folded AK

Was this a position to push or should I have folded my KQ suited?

I don't think this is a bad push here given the play of the UTG. The table will fold most of the time to the UTG. This time someone decided to stay in. You could make 4 more orbits, but I think this is the time to double up or go home. If you double (or triple up) here you have a chance of making the final table. Without a double up in the next few hands it will be hard to fight back after losing you blind money.

It's a VERY close call. I hate getting all in with KQ. I would fold it here if I had 8xBB left for sure. You pretty much have to think that you're probably going to get called, and you're pretty much not the favorite.

That being said, with 6xBB, the clock is ticking.

I'd push if I had 4xBB for sure.

Close one.
