Because most people would check raise if they had the flush. I'd instant call too, esp with the King of Spades in my hand to make the call easier.

well you are definately a donk, there is only room for one egomaniac on these boards and i think that dali and myself are currently fighting for that position. as for your play, i think it is pretty standard.

You must call the turn. Combined probabilty that you have best hand and that your draw is good is too much to pass up when you are getting such odds.
