Trying to put myself in the mind of the donkey limper. What is his thinking process and range of hands where he limps in this situation? I see a monster here about 1/2 the time, and the other half it's stuff like 88 or A9s. Is it better to wait for an opportunity to open push and steal in the next few hands? But with so many players still left, it seems that steal opportunities will be hard to some by. Can we afford to try wait for a better situation here?

I see a monster here about 1/10 the time, and the other 90% it's stuff like 33 or A6s.

In my experience at the 11's, if the guy is limping alot of hands with out showing down a good one, its a a def push. Most of the time they are playing sooted crappy cards. This would be a nice pot to pick up. But im still learning as well

Ditto. Instapush.

Need to be pushing a wide range here, not too wide, cuz you're getting called, but 4x BB is desperation time.

A7+, KJ+, 44+. Yeah, that's my range. I'm not sad about getting called, because 4x BB needs chips.

Dont let these jokers fool you. This is definitely situational dependent (i.e. knowing what type of range the limper will limp with). There ARE players out there that will not do that without an AK, JJ+ hand. Therefore, folding would be correct.

But for most cases, push with your AQ.

I wrote a long reply, and then noticed there were 7 people on level 5, I just answered a completely different question, sorry (morning drowsiness).

Push. Your FE is getting low, this is the time.

I'm pushing that.

Most of the time I'm called I'm against A-rag.

This happened just few hours ago:

10+1 level 4

7 players left. UTG+1 (has me covered) open limps, I'm next and push my ~800 chips with AQs.
Folded back to UTG+1 who calls with J7o

*in the dark, critique welcome*

This situation I would definitely push, without worrying about the limper too much. At this stage you are effectively crippled if you don't increase your stack before the blinds go through again - you'll probably be all in with a worse EV hand soon...

You'll see that this is a monster more at the higher levels. I push this without a second thought and expect to see crap the majority of the time.
