On the Way to the Frum. A very funny play. My son is participating in his school production of it. Reminded me of a story I recently heard Nathan Lane tell.
Lane was appearing on Broadway in the play (in the role originally played, hilariously, by Zero Mostel) and after about a year in the part, he took to chatting too much, by his own admission, with the audience.
One night a woman gets up while he's on stage. He asks her where she's going. She says to the bathroom. He asks number one or number two. She replies number two.
She comes back in about 30 seconds. Lane says, "So fast? What'd you do, [censored] in the lobby?"
Biggest laugh, he says, he's ever gotten on stage.
