pooooosh

Edit: Run ICM on this, you'll see this is an easy push and it's not close.

This is indeed a tricky hand, shorty a little bigger/smaller would make it an easy push/fold. I would have to think of my table image when deciding here, since i really dont want to get called.

I think your stack is small enough that you need to push this. If you had 1000 more, or if the short stack had 300 or so less, I'd say fold. But, shorty could easily double up the next hand (we've all seen this 1000 times) and you'll be the one in trouble with your blinds coming up.

I think this is a very easy push. It is quite likely that shortstack will survive the blinds, with 2BB. If he had 1BB, I might be more hesitant, but would probably still push. Using eastbay's tool this is a clear push if BB calls with any two or even only the hands that are flipping with/beating you - and the BB will be quite a lot tighter than this in his calling, as losing puts him in bad shape and forces him to try to outlast the shortstack.

It sucks that you have to push into the big stack, but you have to push in this situation. Even if you get called, you're almost always ahead.

?? This is a brainless push with 1000 more chips. Folding would be dreadful even if UTG and button both had 1k, and you and the BB both had 3k.

Great question. I often wonder what to do in this same scenario with hands like AT-AQ and 66-JJ.

Me... I'm pushing here because I play for first. But then again, I finish in 4th enough times to make me sick.

Plus if the BB is a good player, he knows you WOULD only push with monsters since UTG is about to blind away, but this is probably too much "he knows you know he knows" type thinking.

I'd love to hear the responses on this one.

UTG isn't small enough and BB isn't big enough for you to be in one of those situations where it is hard to push. I think you have very good FE and can push down to at least KJo and maybe JT - or maybe any two if BB is a pinko-commie-fg (no Yugo to read that /images/graemlins/frown.gif ).

you are getting 1:2.5 on your push here, this one is elementary .

I think BB is a pinko-commie-fg. Push with any two.
