I need an external hard drive for a few reasons. I only need it to be 20 or 40 GBs. I want the cheapest one available. I do not want to spend more than 60 on this.

Is this possible?

"Personally", I would go for an external enclosure and the IDE HDD separately. Two reasons:

1) Price is probably not going to be that far from an external HDD

2) You can upgrade to a larger HDD later on - they are always getting bigger and cheaper... and you can always install the old HDD as a slave in your PC too.
