Just committed a SSH no no

I played my first live game last night...(you know, real cards and chips), and I tried not to appear to serious or boast how great a player I am, but after the 3rd or 4th game one guy says to me, "Your a good player, Im gonna start playing tighter against you".

So is there anything i can do to promote a donkish table image without donating my chips with donkish plays? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Personally I'd rather have everyone think I was the best player at the table so they fear me.

I think that you will gain more chips by being feared than by tricking them into thinking you suck.

You can't avoid it as easily live, but just because he says he's going to tighten up, it doesn't mean that he knows how or will know when to push when he's ahead. More than likely he's just going to play scared against you.
