I am just learning 5/10 6max and a major leak in my game thus far is calling down with ace high. I'm not sure when to do it or what situations to do it in. So far I am doing it too much. However, there are so many LAGs at this level that I am having a hard time adjusting to them. Should I call down in either of these hands? How often should I be doing this and in what situations? (I know it depends). Also, in the second hand, should I have checked behind on the turn or made the continuation bet? Thanks for the help.

What I've been doing a lot lately is checking behind w/ ace high on the turn against a LAG and calling any river unimproved. They love to bet when you show weakness and ace high will be good a suprising amount of times.

Yes these hands are very difficult to play. A lot of it comes down to your opponent(s), and how you've been playing at that table/the general table flow.

For example, in hand 1 I'd be more inclined to check than usual because you don't really want to fold to a checkraise against that guy and if you call you'll have another tough decision on the river if you don't improve.

In general, whenever you're unsure of what to do (when you can't comfortably fold to a checkraise), consider checking behind an extra time.
