Villian here is loose-aggressive-passive, have seen him play weak aces and kings for multiple bets preflop. Should I have slowed down here?

Will he bluff w/o an ace if you check any street to him?

I don't think he would bluff outright, but he would definately bet a lower pocket pair if it was checked to him with an A on the board

He ended up folding to my river bet so he def didn't have an A, it's possible he folded QQ, KK but I'm not sure if he could get away from either of those hands. My guess is he had a lower pp and called to the river hoping for a set.

I like how you played this hand. Not sure why you say "slow down". Of course you bet the flop and turn. The river it sure looks like you are beat by a rope a dope caller with an ace. However, if you check, he bets and you must call, so you usually lose nothing and sometimes gain by betting. There are other considerations, checking to induce a bluff on draw heavy board and possibility of bluff river raise come to mind, but I like the bet... good aggressive play throughout.
