The Office Comes Home

Started showing the US version of the office on UK tv last night, have to say I really enjoyed it. Its different a bit but seems to have not been as badly americanized as I was expecting (eg I was half expecting canned laughter on it).

How has it done in the ratings over there cos it seems a lot different to the normal american comedy we get over here (the safe Friends, Seinfeld etc etc).

Also I thought one of the UK actors was in it still I didnt notice them last night.

First ep is just a word-by-word inferior copy and sucks. After that it gets a lot better. Episode 5 is absolutely fkin superb.

It didn't do too well ratings wise but has been renewed for a second season, AFAIK.

I just watched the first ep and generally agree. I really just didn't see the point of making it, it's just an inferior copy. I guess I'll stick with it if it gets better.
