Computer help

for the past several months my computer has been set up so that all my files, folders, and programs have been set up so that they act as hyperlinks. I only have to click once to open things. This is convenient at times, and very annoying at others. I would like to change it back to the standard double click style, unfortunately I don't know how to, as I don't even know how it was changed to this. Any help?

Click the "Double click" radio button

in an explorer window, tools -> folder options -> enable web content 1st and 2nd options
