Simplistic analogy based on the number of primary cast members and the use of prurient source material for humor.

In contrast, "Sex in the City" focused on 4 independent friends and their archetypal approaches to relationships (neurotic, pragmatic, idealistic, and defensive), whereas "Entourage" looks at four highly dependent characters and how they deal with new found good fortune.

Bradshaw was the focus of "Sex in the City," but all the characters had depth and story lines. In contrast, although Vince is the source of the good fortune in "Entourage", it is not even his show. E is the only one that shows character development at all, the others (Turtle especially) are mere caricatures for now.
