I think this was a bad play by me, I should have went over the top all-in, he didnt play it like he had the 3, what is your opinion?

I think pushing this river is better than just calling. If BB had the straight he would probably bet more than 100 on the river.

Calling behind on this river is terrible. How often is he going to have a 3? Almost never. Especially with a raise pre-flop.

How do we know his river $100 isn't just a value bet - trying to milk the same amount he tried to milk with his straight on the turn? of course this is very unlikely, but still, is it worth sitting behind a set with all your chips?

We don't. But we know that someone having a 3 in a raised pot is so unlikely that if we had this situation 100 times and pushed the river we would come out ahead. K/images/graemlins/heart.gif J/images/graemlins/heart.gif is more likely than anything with a 3.

99 out of 100 times, this is just a blocking bet. And as you can see, it worked.

Calling here is so bad.

Raise the flop, theres WAYYYY too many draws out there that could break you. Any 3 or 4 or heart, i realize a set of aces is a great hand but A.) You dont want to be having to guess like you ended up doing and B.) He might have two pair or a set and im sure hed rather get his chips in on that flop, as would you. Slowplaying is WAY overrated and overdone. But since you are on the river facing the 100 bet, it all depends on your read on the player, i think you know that deep down.

Yea I agree, I screwed this hand up, luckily I only post the hands that im not sure on because if I played like this all the time I would be broke.
