I have a gutshot and a bdfd getting 14:2

not even close to closing the action

if it gets raised behind me life sucks.

no individual reads but the table seems aggro -- my first orbit.

should we try to see the turn?

Your getting 7-1 with a gutshot+a backdoor flush draw. Its a close call/fold situation. What would push me closer to a call situation would be the agressiveness of the players. If an 8 comes on the turn, will you be able to extract 2 (or more) bets out of both players on that street+one in the river?

How likely are the players behind you to call, and how likely is it 3bet?

It's really read dependant, but I really like this board for your hand. If you make your draw, you know it's gonna be good. If you pick up the flush draw on the turn, you're gonna be pretty happy too.

I'm calling here pretty often. I'm only folding if the table's pretty TAGGY -- I can't expect cold callers behind me and the original bettor is likely to 3bet.

like I said it was my first orbit, but I figured it was close, and the read I did have (aggro table) tilted towards call.

FWIW I hit the 8 (/images/graemlins/club.gif no less) on the turn and managed to cap the turn 3 ways and drag a monsta. /images/graemlins/cool.gif
