Not saying he was guilty or innocent, but these jurors seem to be total idiots.

They should be, they are supposed to be Jackson's peers.

I listened to radio interviews with a few of them. They all seemed reasonably intelligent and perfectly competent to be jurors.

From a few I heard, they basically think he is a child molester but think that this boy was not molested and the family was after money, also they think he is a child molester but did not belive the teenage boy that was crying on the stand about how Michael Jackson molested him.

Just from the little I heard they seem to contradict themselves.

Also one basically said that the pics of naked boys did not affect his decision cause porn is not illegal.

How is that contradictory? My feelings were that MJ is definitely guilty of something, but I don't think he was guilty of this. The family was basically mooching off of MJ for a long time, tried to extort money from a bunch of celbrities and now they're just after MJ's money.

It's a nice break from all the high profile whites who get off.

Something bothered me about the lady that got upset when the accuser's mother snapped at the jury. Maybe its annoying but to sway her opinion of the case? Horrible.

I saw an interview with one at CNN and he stroke me as very intelligent and reflected. He explained how he thought that Michael Jackson has molested children, but he did not see any evidence proving it since the witnesses lacked credibility, and thus he voted not guilty.

I don't think you needed to make a new post to let people know that.

There's no contradiction here. There's a big difference in thinking he's a molestor and actually proving he molested someone specific.

Its just that if I thought someone was a child molester and he slept with this child and this child came forward I would have a hard time believing the guy didn't molest this one also, regardless of what a low life the parents are.

Dude, Michael would have been convicted if he was poor. No doubt about it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, and parents would still be lining up around the corner to let their boys stay at Neverland Ranch.

Am I the only person here who finds it incredibly odd that the prosecution's side wanted everyone to believe Jacko is an obvious child molestor who's done this thing many times to many children, but couldn't put together a halfway decent case? Seriously, if its that obvious, and you've got an incredibly high-profile case along with the likes of Robert Blake and Scott Peterson...what was stopping these guys?

My personal opinion, as though it matters...is Jackson messed up? Beyond belief. Is what he's ADMITTED to doing morally wrong? Clearly. Does it really appear that there's enough evidence to convict him criminally? Not at all. This Santa Monica DA is supposed to be one of the best, done it for 37 years, but couldn't convict a guy the media has made out to be a child molestor for 10 years. Incredible.

Child molestation cases are difficult to win. There are usually no eye-witnesses, video footage, or DNA evidence. It essentially comes down to a child's word versus an adult's word.

Perhaps Michael would have been convicted if he were not an icon. However, it's hard state it with any certainty.
