I'm trying to stop being so weak tight and I think this is the kind of hand that's confusing me. Is it alright to call down here? Villan is 36/6/1.3 over about 40 hands, which isn't much. Should I be laying it down or calling it down? Thanks.

The pot isn't super huge at this point and you are drawing dead if he has an ace. There is nothing wrong with folding here. Save these types of calldowns for times when you can outdraw the villian if you are behind (unless the pot is just too big to fold which it isn't here).

I would check the turn. Chew on that.

Okay. There are a grand total of zero hands that will call your bet, and the only people who will stay are either absolute LAGs and/or extremely tricky players who will randomly bluff check-raise you, or people with an Ace, and they will raise your punk ass with the goods.

am i rite?

Sounds right. A further question: is this equally applicable if it's 3-way (or more)?
