My thought process on this hand after his re-raise was that he had AA KK QQ or JJ, with KK being most likely. So I called hoping to spike an Ace, should I have just folded or should I have just limped in with AQ there?

Looks like a good fold to me. However, I'm never really raising AQ in level one.
