Please never say that.

I am actually quite content with my hand right now. I haven't seen my girlfriend in a couple months so I am trying to make do. If another hand DID call me, I'd probably fumble around trying to think of an excuse to not do anything with it. Meh, I dunno. Maybe I'd give it a whirl. Variety is the spice of life.

With regards to preflop pushing and raising, I agree.

However, it makes a lot of sense when betting on the other streets, especially the river.

Is it fair to say you'll rarely be called by a worse hand?

What about, "Going all-in works every time but once"?

It's a pretty important concept, provided that your read on the situation is accurate. There are many situations where betting from last position on the river after it is checked to you is going to be -EV because better hands will rarely fold and worse hands will rarely call. Are you just arguing that people are saying it in situations where it's a bad read on the situation? That's a different issue.

I wanted my post to be succinct. I'm sure y'all know what I meant or can figure it out.

The people who know what you mean or can figure it out aren't the people you're trying to address, presumably.

Ok, the explanation is pretty succinct to. Just don't forget about when you will make better hands fold too. "You'll only get called by a better hand" is just not a complete reason not to bet.

Concrete example.

Push with K2. Yes KQ might call, but that is probably fine if K3,K4,K5,K6,K7,K8,K9,KT and KJ fold.

I see your 'you'll only called by a better hand' and raise you 'AK is a drawing hand'.

Learning the difference between a "value bet" on the river and a "you'll only get called by a better hand" on the river is incredibly important.
