Villian in this hand is loose and very passive.

When I get raised on the turn I figure he probably have trips with a worse kicker.
But when he caps I think this passive player is very likely to have a boat.
Is my line reasonable?

I would have played it the same...i'd have threebet as well figuring him for J 10 or something. The cap makes me wonder if he had 44 or 55....surely it's not 10 4 or 10 5. Either way i'd checkcall the river if your read on him is right as "very passive." Despite the very passive thing, a lot of guys will get out of line if they get trips...not realizing that they have no kicker....but they won't usually cap. I can't see laying down trips here though for one more bet no matter how good my read is.

it all depends on how passive he is.. some people go crazy because they have "three of a kind"...
normally i would bet and call a raise,
How does this player play sets. Does he wait until the turn to raise on a board like this?

I like your analysis and I play it the same way given your read. Nice hand.

I have no idea how he plays sets. If I knew that he always plays them fast I would not be worried on the turn/river /images/graemlins/smile.gif
