Played with a guy last night that was a relentless donkbettor. He would call the flop and lead the turn in almost every hand he was in. Hand 1 was one of the first hands I played against him and I was unsure of how to act. Hand 2 was later on. In hand 2 I waited until the river to raise, but was planning on raising any river.

What is your default for these donkbets...do you automatically give them credit, or do you raise every time?

Easy turn raise in both hands.

These are non-scary turn cards, you must always raise this guy. Call down if 3-bet.

Well, by hand 2, i'd noticed he would sometimes fold to the turn raise....thought the river was better because he would always fire the third barrel....against normal opposition i'd raise the turn.

Given that read, your play in hand 2 is ok.

In hand one isn't it possible he defended the BB with J9? If so the turn gives him a str8

I probably raise the turn in Hand #1, but I also like the way you played #2, especially because (as you say later) often a donkbettor will fold to a turn raise in this situation. I raise Hand #2 on the river instead of the turn if any non-scary falls -- I wouldn't have needed the ace.
