poker side bets-anybody tried this?

I have really enjoyed making side bets during SNGs over the past year. I did lose my pants a few times and learned never to bet against teecoy:) when it gets shorthanded. Basically what I do is lay odds against a player and get bettors to send the $ to my pokerstars account. Then when the SNG is over I disperse the funds (and yes, I am honest and would never rip anybody off...I have references so most know I am good for the money). Its especially fun to do this when you are still in the tourney because if you win the SNG you can win double the payout from the bets you took. I have actually gotten guys to bet on themselves for even money with 5-6 players left. I feel like that is +EV for me as the house although over the short run I have lost a lot ?? Anybody else tried these types of bets online??
