View Full Version : Flush draw L3

No relevant reads... I'd burned some chips earlier raising, missing flop and having to fold, so I had a slightly below average stack.... Given that, it is hard to see myself walking away from two strong overcards and the nut flush draw. I was tempted to push, figuring that I'd probably get rid of overcards and that I'd have a lot of outs against a pair on the board (some perhaps counterfeited), and that even against trips our something I've got outs. Thoughts? No relevant reads on these players...

You could make an argument for pushing preflop here (depending on the read on the raiser), but I think this is an easy push on the flop.

I would push after the flop comes. I don't have a problem with your preflop call.

pushing is retarded here. pot size bet accomplishes the same thing. hell 3/4 does

And it also gets you called. There's t325 in the pot, you've only got t425. No way pot-size is good here.

Oh, and this is an easy push preflop, I think, and an easy push on the flop.

The blinds are going to hit us hard soon, so we push pre-flop... Since we didn't, push all-in on the flop.

What concerns me more is:

This is only level 3.... What were you playing (and why???) in levels 1 and 2 that cost you 1/4 of your chips so soon?

You've probably got 15 outs and a short stack...time to push

Believe it or not, I was dealt AKs 3 times in the first 20 hands. I raised 3BB each time. The first time, the flop missed me, I made a continuation bet and got check-raised all-in. The second time, the flopp missed me and someone pushed in front. The third time I took down the blinds, yay. So I was a bit frustrated by the time this hand came around.
