This hand is from a mini step 5 from partypoker. Six players left, 5 prizes ($2000, $1000, $500, $300, $200).

CO has 33 and sees a ministack go all-in before him. He decides to reraise all-in. Is this the correct move?

I don't like this at all. BB is already committed to calling MP's push, and a push over the top won't really get him to fold all that much either. I could see making this move with 88 or better, perhaps, but 33 is far too weak to take up against two opponents.

Plus, if MP doubles up against the BB, he's not out of trouble yet--he is almost tied with the CO and has to eat the blind first.

If BB knows much of anything, shouldn't it refuse to call this all-in from the short stack? It would want to keep the bubble alive, yes? So we can't count on the BB's committment to call and knock out this stack, giving a little more credence to the CO's push with 33--although it's a push that I could not make, personally. I cross my fingers and wait.

Are you guys really that concerned about getting ITM here that you would pass on +EV situations like this? With blinds this big anything is still possible and the real money is in the first couple of places.

With 3x BB, Villain only having 2x BB, I think this is pretty easy push.

People are desperate. Desperation requires playing this crappy spot. With 6x or 7x BB, I'd fold, but 3x BB means GAMBOOL.

This is how I play it, and I really think it's correct.
