I choose option 3: read dependant.

I'm folding. We're probably talking a 60/40 at best, and you've got a healthy stack. You'll get better opportunities to steal yourself.

When I don't say anything, assume no read.

I think folding is terrible.

Agree. I like the call with A anything here. You know in the 50s you will see any 2 often. Also may help table image later even if you lose here.

I'm being slightly disingenuous here.

I think this is a very clear call, too. But I was curious about the forum responses.

I'm pretty certain at this point that most 2+2ers do not call in these situations enough.

Table image against the same players in another tournaments I assume? Because you'll be down to 2bb and in the sb if you lose.

No same game, if you double up and get back in the game, people will maybe be less likely to push vs you.

And I guess in other games in the 50s also, so both.

Eh, it's bad bad but not terrible bad, but the fact that folding is leading 15 to 4, THAT's terrible bad.

To those people that just voted fold:

Do you see that thread? Yes? Notice that 2 out of 3 of you would push J9o with 8 BB?

Okay, now why are you folding as a favorite against SB's range getting 1.6:1?

I voted call here. It's not just 2+2ers who are pushing any two from the SB here. I've been making more of these calls (suspecting any two and calling with ace high) in spots like this and it's been paying off.

I was quite surprised as well w the results after I voted. SB is a short stack and could VERY WELL be pushing with any two.

How many people who voted fold are pushing in this situation in the SB with a range tighter than A2+?

Preface: I haven't played Party Poker at all, so I don't know the normal field of players. Having said that, I do agree that there's a good chance you're ahead with your ace, but I don't like the kicker, and it isn't even suited. I'd wait for a better chance myself.

And yes, I know I'm a pretty tight player. And I haven't studied the math behind poker extensively, so I wouldn't be able to work out the exact percentages in my head in the given amount of time. So given the information and putting myself in the player's shoes, I would have folded.
