Been mixing things in attempt to become a solid MTT player wasn't sure about this one thought I'd see what people thought. 10+1 rebuy, rebuy period had been over about 10mins but this guy hadn't seemed to notice and was still playing really loose.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP1 (t4235)
MP2 (t10675)
Villain (t7250)
Button (t20525)
Hero (t23255)
BB (t6200)
UTG (t2045)
UTG+1 (t700)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
3 folds, MP2 calls t150, Villain calls t150, 1 fold, Hero raises to t900, 1 fold, MP2 folds, Villain calls t750.

Flop: (t2100) Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)

Hand converter screwed up here, I checked he bet out t1050 I raised him all in.

My thoughts were this, if I bet out the way he had been playing he would have made a play on the pot with any pair, any draw and often any two and if I bet and he raised I'd prob have to fold. By playing it this way I knew he'd bluff at it and by check raising I might be able to push him off a queen or a good draw.

Any thoughts?

ok, that stupid was it?

I guess my question is I know this play is risky, but is too risky or the sort of risk (given reads on player) that you have to take to make money in these tourneys?
