Loose caller, I like a check and hope your A-high is good against his busted flush draw. Every other draw or hand improved. The only real hands I see you possibly pushing him off of are an 8 or some shitty pocket pairs, but if he called the flop with those, I think hes gonna call a bet on the river with them too given the turn checks.

Don't bet this. If he's smart he'll check a ten.

Not sure I see much point in betting this. If he's a loose caller you're not pushing him off of much, maybe a mid pair, but I think a check is in order.

If I'm going to fire again, I'm doing it on the turn.

i think he would bet a missed flush draw atleast 80% of the time here. this is a card he would love to bluff with which makes me think he has something like A8, A4.

I just checked behind, which is probally standard.

He had an 8. [ QUOTE ]

maybe its not fair because i know this player very well, but his description i give is vague.

the reason i want to bet the river is because i have the most information that he is weak there.

Any point in checking behind on the flop and then betting the turn?

Wouldn't he take a similar like with a low pocket pair like 66,77,99?

You mean checking the flop? Or the line he took right now. Because yes, I agree he would take that line, but that just means that an 8 is more likely to call down. Checking behind on the flop and betting the Q is a line I occasionally take, and it works pretty well when you mix it in.

I agree with diablo. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if he called you with his 8. He made up his mind on th eflop to call you down, the queen comes on the turn and you check. on the river what do you represent, if it's a queen it's a weird bet, if it's a ten, well there are only 2 tens left in the deck and he decided you are bluffing already. If you put him on weak hand you need to be sure he's going to fold that hand to your bluff. In this case not only are you unsure if he'll fold it, but you don't even know he has a weak hand, maybe he has a ten and tricke dyou. (he also could have hit the queen with a draw)
