I watched both the original and remake yesterday. The remake is o.k. and Ribisi is great as always. But it was no where close the great movie the original was. Why do they do this to great old movies?

because 95% of the time the population of movie goers (read: under 25) have ZERO clue, that these movies are remakes. So they can just do the same movie over again, and make big $$$$
