Tattoos on chicks

Most of the time a tattoo on a girl's body just ruins it for me. I have found an exception though. A small tattoo just below the pants line and above either of her legs is really hot (I'm not sure what this area is called, pelvic bone maybe?). The girl HAS to have a really nice body though.

Do you like tattoos on girls? What and where? What does not look good at all?

I don't like them period, but I especially don't like them if they're big or distracting, or if they're those yucky green ones which 90% of the tattoos of even the richest girls seem to be.

A little heart or rose or butterfly -- or something similarly tiny and cute and just an accent -- somewhere isn't so bad, but basically I don't think the female body needs any improving on, so a tattoo by definition can only take it down. Especially since the -- forgive me here -- glory and grace of a woman's body has so much to do with the sweep and curve of its lines, and tattoos just provide a visual interruption to that.

Which only gets worse when you consider how ugly most of them are.

For the most part, yes tats are a turn-off. But two important notes:

1. Girls with tattoos put out more often. (Same can be said of girls who smoke -- just give her a tic tac and then let her spread 'em).
2. A little tattoo on the outside of her ankle can be hot.

sometimes a tatoo on a chick can be really sexy. then, i think about what it will look like when she gets older, has kids, etc... really ruins the whole thing. especially the ones around the belly button. don't they know what happens to their belly when they get pregnant? and if they don't want kids, what's a man to do? i'm here to spread my seed, baby!

My girlfriend has a medium-sized tattoo between her shoulderblades which she got after we had been going out for 1.5 years or so. It's nicely done (her dad is an artist and designed it for her), using a design that was on her parents' wedding program. So it meets my standards for a good tattoo - not huge, usually in one color only, not on the boobs or ass, and pretty original.

I will be getting a few tattoos as well when I have the money and finish the design.

To me, there is nothing more unattractive than a single tattoo. Doesn't matter where it is, it is a blemish... On the other hand, girls that go all out and have Tats all over their back, arms, whatever -> they rock. They can look very beautiful, especially when you incorporate the sadness that must be in their lives for them to do this to themselves. I read somewhere that one of the psychological reasons for a girl getting a tattoo is to assert ownership over their body. They do this after a possessive relationship, after having sex before they were ready, after a troubled childhood, or after being raped. I do think it is an indication of some sort of inner pain. Of course we all have pain and we all choose to deal with it in different ways.... But as for genereal sexiness, no, not sexy.

I think you're reading way too much into this. One tattoo is not a 'blemish,' in this case it's very tasteful and fits in fine. I hardly notice it most of the time, but every now and then I look at it and think, "Cool."

Sure it does. My house is my own to do what I want with. But painting it hot pink would be tasteless. And yea it adds to your physical appearance. What it adds is ugly. There is no "good tattoo" in my opinion. The only tattoo I ever considered was when I was going to combat, I almost got a dog tag tattooed on my ribcage for ID purposes only.
