View Full Version : mass deportation?

One of today's stories: 10 Middle Eastern men in three states were arrested for fraudulently obtaining licenses to transport

hazardous materials...A Pennsylvania state examiner told the FBI he took payoffs in exchange for the permits between July 1999 and February 2000. (I wonder if the examiner who took bribes will get any time?)

This is frightening. Is it just a matter of time before one of our cities plays host to an anthrax flyover by a crop duster?

Our love of freedom and revulsion to 'racist' and oppressive type solutions such as internment or mass expulsion won't permit us to consider any kind of remedy that relies on 'profiling' to protect our population from even these extreme threats. Will our love of freedom be the death of us?

....or will the death of us be the disregard of our love of freedom?

The time to do something, quite obviously, was several years ago.

We can't say how many (blatantly hostile and dangerous or not) are here. There is no INS database that will tell us how many have overstayed or where they are. We do know they number in the millions.

There is no realistic alternative to implementing a rational immigration policy.

What the hell are we waiting for?
