Tough, I think IŽd go with bet-fold though.

Bet-fold. Your line could easily be a flush draw that hit on the river. The MP is gonna need a big hand to reraise you, unless he is a habitual bluffer. I bet-call against LAGy types.

I like it, I bet-called. (Urg) Villian had T8d for the flush.

I fold this flop, then (were i there) bet/fold the river.

note:my river aggression is very low and I just saw the results but this is the line I thought of before I saw them..
Check/call the ugly river. There's no way i want to bet/call this. I check a lot on scary rivers because... I usually can't fold a decent hand heads up.
That said, I miss too many value bets. It's a leak. But in this situation I really feel like check/calling; I think you'll get a bluff out of hands that won't call a bet here.

I like check/call, bet/fold is hard against tricky players in this situation. A lot of times I'll raise this river with A high or a busted straight draw of sorts (as the villain) against better players.

Yeah, I think folding this on the flop sucks too.

Wow, an amazing number of people claiming they bet-fold, the tough-guy play which you never see at the tables. Pretty sure it's the right answer though.
Seriously, that MP player is either a calling station or has a flush draw. So a bet is good for value and a fold is easy if he raises.

I think folding on this flop is actually the worst play ever. I think checking this river is the 2nd worse play ever. I think folding to a raise sucks too, but is not one of the worst plays ever, just bad. Well played.

Can someone explain why? I thought this was a situation where the opponent will only call with hands that has you beat but bluff with many hands that are beaten.
Edit: Oooops, missed the straight /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Note that if the river had blanked off, say another ace, then I think this is still a bet but pretty close. It probably would have made a good "should I value bet" post, as opposed to most of those posts which are actually fairly routine value bets.
-Mike
Edit: Actually I think that is still a pretty easy bet on the river. Maybe if a 6 came off then it gets closer.
