My fiance and I have decided to make custom playing cards our gift to everyone who attends our wedding.
We both play poker, and we think its a cool idea.
The plan is to have our engagement picture on the back, then all of the kings would have pictures of me, the queens would be her.
I googled the idea, and the sheer number of custom playing card guys is larger than I would have thought.
The prices are all pretty close (see: Adam Smith: invisible hand), but I have no idea who to choose.
Does anyone have a recommendation?

Woodguy

Gotta go with KEM - but that could be very costly.

Nice call.
I cannot find anyone who offers custom KEM's, including KEM themselves.
I would be a great gift, but that's a little pricey given that 90% of the cards will never be used.
Thanks,

KEM is no longer KEM. It is a brand of the U.S. Playing Card Company.

Go to a local souveneir shop, by some cards where the backs have something that will remind them of where you live.

Thank you.
They tell me here (http://www.usplayingcard.com/uspccustom.html) that their minimum custom run is 10,000.
Just checked my guest list and I'm a little below that. (I wouldn't be if my girl got her way /images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
So, looks like good ole cheap paper.

I actually did this for my wedding reception, the cards looked fine but were crappy as hell to actually use. I don't think you'll be able to get ones that actually shuffle well without bending.

Not sure if these (http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/STACAR_LIFE.htm) guys do customised but worth checking out IMO.

I just ran across this site, have no affiliation:
http://www.newtsplayingcards.com/playing_card_builder/index.html
1 = 28
2 Decks = $27.50 ea
3 Decks = $26.00 ea
10 Decks = $24.50 ea
18 Decks = $19.00 ea
36 Decks = $17.50 ea
54 Decks = $17.00 ea
72 Decks = $16.50 ea
90 Decks = $15.50 ea
108 Decks = $14.50 ea
Kinda pricy, have no idea the pricepoints you're looking at but it looks like you can have from 1+ made w/ no bulk req's, tho they have "bulk pricing":
500 Decks = $4.69 ea
1,000 Decks = $3.85 ea
5,000 Decks = $2.59 ea
10,000 Decks = $1.18 ea
25,000 Decks = $ .93 ea
50,000 Decks = $ .69 ea
Congrats on getting married /images/graemlins/smile.gif
