HoytCorkins5 is a regular at the step 5s (1ks) and a very good MTTer. Had a 200k/250k win about a month back, made the FT of the Friday special yesterday.

What do you think of my play here? Am I weak?

Villain is limping into a lot of hands. Most PFR are to about 5X BB. All fold to villain who is on button who makes a min raise to 40.

I'm in SB with QQ.
Reraise to 125. Villain min reraises to 210.

Flop is 642.

I check, villain bets 150, I raise to 300, villain goes all in for 600 more. I fold.

Still at 67, t1540 at the first break. My raises are getting a little too much respect.

1335 at the break. Haven't won a pot.

Played 80 Sngs (4 tabling) in the last 2 days, which explains my abnormally tight play.

Apparently so.

Any overpair vs. a loose/agg player is an all-in everytime.
Early in a tournament, any overpair should be all-in everytime against anyone because 1.you have to take advantage of having bad players giving out money before they bust and 2.you have to take chances in these multis just to have a shot at getting to the final table... might as well be with an overpair.
He could very easily have 77-JJ here... or worse.

Nope, you can't always worry about monsters under the bed, harv. Just a tough break. You had to take that one all the way.

You played the hand fine.

Ah. Just made a great call, but i'm out. Co pushed for 1.7k (150 bb), and the button called pretty quickly. I was in the bb with TT. I used all my time bank. I didn't think I could put either of them on JJ or up. I was fairly certain CO had a mid pair, but was skeptical about the button. If he had overs, I was in a great spot to call and triple up. I decided to call, and he had AK. He floped AKx, but it went runner runner 9, 9.

Thanks you two...I feel better now. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I do also take some consolation from the fact that I pretty much knew it was a crying call when I made it. Ah well, there's always the next one.

t4520, table 2. going okay, but don't really have any rhythm. No AA, KK, and don't recall even an AK. AQ and TT my biggest hands, I think.

Looking good, PancakeBoy!

I'm hitting the sack now, so won't be sweating you to the final table. Playing a $1000 NLHE tourney at Lucky Chances tomorrow to tune up my live poker skills before the WSOP ME.

Good luck!
