Yesterday, me and my friends were at a bar and discussing basketball. Do you think Alonzo Mourning will be inducted into the Hall of Fame once he retires?

I think he will, he had about 8-9 awesome seasons at Charlotte and Miami. My friend said that there is no chance that he will make it, and even compared him to Rik Smits and said if Mourning should be inducted, so should Rik Smits. Am I the only one that thinks he will be inducted to the HOF?

Well, don't forget it's not the NBA HoF, it's the basketball HoF.

Good point. But, I don't think he deserves to be in the hall of fame either way.

Can't stand the guy but I think he probably gets in. Career averages of 20 pts per game and a shade under 10 boards. Also, a dominant player in college. I'm not sure Rod Thorn would vote for him though.

If there was a hall of fame for flexing your muscles and acting like a Jackass after every blocked shot he'd get in for sure.

Only way Mourning get into the HOF is if he pays admission like the rest of us slackers.. There are at least 4 other centers that were better than him that he played against.. Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, and Shaq, and also duncan
