I think unless he has specifically king high, he's not folding a hand that beats you.

"SB is loose but fit/fold post"

After calling your turn bet, he's not folding on the river, despite the A. I'd probably check the turn as well, when the board pairs, it becomes a lot more likely that you'll get called down by hands like A high and any pair.

I usually just check preflop though I don't think the raise is bad.

I check/fold the river which may be wrong.

Check-folding the river is very wrong. We're last to act.

I also wouldn't raise preflop OOP, but I don't think it is inherently wrong.

I also give up on the turn, if SB is fit/fold, well, apparently he fit.

If villain was an unknown would you fire on the turn? I think I would.

Yeah, much different. I don't raise pre-flop.

I think this is an easy raise preflop, it disguises your hand very well, and you almost certainly have an equity edge. You'd be surprised how often you take this down on the flop with a bet, especially on an uncoordinated A flop.

Know what, sometimes I raise, sometimes I don't. Hero should have shut down on the turn I think. He's losing his equity edge in this spew. Too many opponents...

Yep... IF he's gonna make this PF raise. It's a situational call for me, leaning call/check vs raise in most cases. Open-raising in position is an entirely different matter, of course.

Your read is that SB plays fit/fold on the flop. He didn't fold the flop. You didn't hit the flop or the turn. Why are you betting the turn?
