Thoughts?

On the flop i had made up my mind that if he calls my raise, i am done with the hand, but then i turned the flush draw, and tried to take it down.
Does anyone play this any differently? If so, how?

I really like your play here. You can't play scared against these guys. Presumably he busted you with QQ or something.

I would probably fold AJ to that raise, but then again im abit on the tight side. However, after calling the raise you played it pretty much like i would have done myself if i thought villain would bet the flop with most hands.

Raise preflop. It's hard to put him on a hand by just limping.

Given that you didn't, I like your line. You almost certainly are freerolling on him or have 12 outs unless he has exactly 88.

Looks fine to me. As others have said, better to raise preflop. AJs is definately a raising hand from middle position. The limp is not bad though and you can play that way to mix up your play or based on table conditions.

Folding to the button raise preflop may seem weak/tight, but I think calling or folding is OK. You may be dominated with AJ.

You have to push on the turn. You may win the pot and you definately have atleast some outs. There is too much money in the pot at this point to walk away from your nut flush draw.
