This seems fairly easy, but should I be calling with this?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (4 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

UTG (t2710)
Button (t1855)
SB (t920)
Hero (t2515)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
2 folds, SB raises to t920 (All-In), Hero ??

i dont think so. you have close to 2:1 but not quite. this is probably a 10+1 since your last post was, which means he is not pushing any two, most likely.

i would call with, say, 2.5:1 odds or slightly better cards.

I wouldn't. The cons outweigh the pros here. You don't need this pot.

you dont get 2-1 here. more like 1-1.. fold

like the last guy said fold.

my poker stove with half the 2 handed combos that he could be playing said to fold. its an easy fold.

it's 1220 in the pot, 620 to call, looks like 2-1 to me.....

620. Him pushing t920 includes the SB.

Thanks for the info though guys. I've been struggling with these types of calls, which has probably been hurting my bottom line. I keep thinking "OMGF 2:1!!!11" and calling with any two in these situations, even if it's not appropriate (as here).

2-1 odds but the call should be < 1/3 your stack. Otherwise, future fold equity of your stack as well as diminished survivability negates some of that 2-1 you're being laid.

with crappy cards like these i give myself 2.5:1 before i call

IMO this would depend on what his play had been in hands leading up to this, how his stack got that small, and how often and how long ago did he push like this

I usually call here. If I lose I still have plenty of chips, and I'm surely getting the right pot odds to call against his range of hands.

btw it's close because I believe I'd fold with 84o and less. A lot of SBs move allin here with any 2 cards.

There are basically two kinds of SB here. Those that push with any two and those that don't.

If they don't, you need about T8o. If they do, you need about 74o. If I weren't pretty sure about the read, I'd fold 86o in a $55 or below. Don't know what to assume about SB above that.

easy fold. you could be a significant dog here with such low cards and you are not even suited. This is a clear fold at this point.

SB is 150 (920-150=770 left) BB is 300 SB goes all in for 770 more or a total of 920 plus 300 BB = 1220
920 -BB =620 to call.

pot 1220/620 approximately 2 to 1 it is actually a little more due to the fact of the antes.
