I raise too. The others have been checking and calling all the way through so they are likely to fold for even 1 bet. With a raise you may get one bet of UTG or even a reraise /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the blinds will most likely fold to 1 bet. They probably don't have much since they didn't bet the river even though you showed weakness by checking the turn. If you call they should know that you have something so they need more than to just beat a possible bluff. I don't think this is a good situation to go for an overcall.

Good points. My thinking at the time was that I know this guy really well and he won't reraise with anything but the nuts, but since I checked the turn and they checked to him on the river, its doubtful they have anything that they will overcall with. Had I bet the turn and they stuck around, would that change your guys' minds?

Yes, if they called a bet on the turn I would rather just call on the river. Then I think going for overcalls would make more sense.
