I would just like to say thanks to Alan Shoonmaker for writing that article in Card Player magazine for the Jan 3,2003 issue Vol 16/No.1
I felt this way about a few months ago and I took some time off, and now that I've come back a little fresher I feel a lot better, I take bad beats very well, I don't tilt as easily, i don't get physcially upset as usual, you do need a balance in life. The last two paragraphs hit it right on the money about when I would win I would feel powerful and when I lose I feel like a failure. Great article, I encourage some of you that have emotional problems when playing poker to check it out.
