Good call.

This answer won't apply here as much as it will among the general population:

The Big Lebowski

Black Sheep. Its the movie everyone loves to say 'sucks compared to Tommy Boy', but they both made me laugh my ass off equally.

That's why these threads suck (except they should rock) because unfortunately there's a lot of posters who just lack a certain comprehension of common sense when it comes to the general perception of things. (Clayton this isn't an insult)

No offense taken. I don't know the 'acclaim' of certain moves that are 5+ years old or older. I just based it off of personal experiences back then, and back then people I knew thought Half Baked sucked.

How about a give another...

Tommy Boy is well regarded.

Spaceballs was a huge success and is perfectly rated in the pantheon of comedies.

PCU might fit the bill.

Super Troopers is slowly becoming known for how brilliant it is. But the masses still haven't caught on; this was similar to the first 2 years Office Space was out.

Pushing Tin is another one as is Grosse Pointe Blank.

Airheads is another good one.

Being John Malkovich (probably butchered his name) – I never hear anyone talk about this movie and it’s simply brilliant (the 7 ½ floor)

Bachelor Party – Came out in the early 80’s and is probably Tom Hanks finest performance to date. You definitely need to watch the unedited version, though.

Foul Play. Late 70's movie with Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn. This movie has been cracking me up since I was a kid. America's favorite midget, Billy Bartly, and Dudley Moore, as a disco era playboy, both tear it up in their small roles.
