New step Higher format, Thoughts ?

Step5 higher now has 5k entry and 25k for first.

I had a look this morning and steps 4 and 5 were still 3k and 15k buy in.

But it looks like a regular 5k sng with pay outs of 50/30/20%

Party put them up earlier in SNG - steps section but depsite bieng called 5000+xxx when you went to buy in they still had the details of the old 15000's so I'm guessing they took them down for a rework.

The lowered the rake for steps 3-4 but increased it for step 5. Guess they want more of a trickle up effect going.

no more easy decisions. do you take cash at Step 4? or risk all and go for top 3 at step 5?

Does anyone else see this as an easy way for top players to gain step5 entries through step4? (not that this is a bad thing) Anyone who bought into step1 or step2 will be VERY tempted to try and cash out before making it to the top two spots in a step4 tourney.

i think this is more reasonable. Kind of wierd for the jump be from 2dn highest tournamnet of $1k to the highest being $15k.

Also, I think it is going to be funny to see hands posted from Step4highers...

So I'm on the bubble with 1100 chips, blinds are 15/30 and there are 9 people left and I've got AQo in MP....

It wouldn't suprise me if people had like $1,000,000+ in freerolls, people would go INSANE if that was taken away.

They stated that they were not going to refund WSOP steps so i do not see how i could have assumed they were going to refund these steps also.
