I felt this was pretty straightforward but maybe I'm wrong, anyone play this different? Villan is not awful but in about 100 hands I've seen him go way up and down overplaying some top pair hands, sometimes calling sometimes betting with them.

Party 25NL 10 handed,
5 fold to me I open to 1.25 red aces, villan to my left calls, BB calls.

Flop 4 4 Q rainbow. Check, I bet pot, guy behind me calls, BB drops out.

Turn is an offsuit K. I bet 5$. He thinks a while and calls.

River is a total blank.

I check, he bets 10$, I call.

Almost NO chance he has a four here, I was pretty sure this was KQ, maybe AQ but not after that river bet because I think he's smart enough to put me on AK.

Look good?

Why didn't you checkraise the river if you put him on KQ?

Why do you check/call the river when you are saying you are so far ahead?

Pot = about 4 on flop, and you bet 4 ?
Two to the turn - pot about 12 ... and you bet 5 ?
Two to the river - pot about 22 and you check call a 10 bet ?

I think I would have bet 10-12 on the turn and the rest on the river. If he has a 4 then good for him.

Why are you checking the river ?

Hey guys,
I really don't know why I bet so small on the turn, I fire turns really hard usually.

As for the river, it was either some gut feeling, paranoia, or I just pussied out. I really couldn't possibly seeing him calling a raise with a 4, he played big limit type cards for raises but if he had a 4, this is exactly how it would have played out. I guess I should have pushed this harder as I really do feel most of the time its QJ, KQ or AQ.
