I somehow have no stats on this guy which is surprising. That being said, for the short time I have seen him at the table, he seems reasonable. I really just hate the way I played this hand...but just calling down seems too weak. How many of you fold to his river raise (or turn if that is where you choose to do it)? If you don't fold to an unknown, how about a TAG? Or are you just about always seeing showdown in a headsup situation?

Thanks,

Oscar

Yes.

This probably isn't the advice your looking for, but I would go into call down mode after he capped the flop.

That advice is definitely what I am looking for. On a reasonably dangerous board, where I just can't hit that fold button after being 3-bet on the turn or river, I think I would have been best off taking that line in hindsight.

That river raise is too much.

It seems like you should have the best hand, considering the action preflop. He probably would've capped with QQ, I don't see him raising with 22 or 33 utg, or QJ for that matter. I don't think he'd play JJ that fast on the flop. It seems like he could have AQ, although he's playing it pretty damn fast. I'm guessing QQ or AQ, all things considered.

I disagree with this thinking. I'm getting in at least one more raise on either the turn or the river before I slow down heads up with AA. If he has a set well so be it.

the 30/60 is very aggressive. People cap the flop with all sorts of hands when heads up, uncluding draws and hands like AQ here.

And I really don't think this board is all that dangerous.

Seems ok except for the river raise, if your opponenent is sane. I would think he is overplaying AQ far too much given your action and range of 3 betting hands. I would want to see a showdown in this hand, and would not like getting 3 bet. I do like how you waited until the river. I guess it is possible he has a non-capped KK.
