View Full Version : Exactly when do we overhaul immigration policy?

Do you know how many illegal aliens are here? Do you how many have entered on temporary visas, and then failed to leave. Do you know how many of fundamentalist persuasion are waiting, hidden in minority neighborhoods of New Jersey, Chicago, and elsewhere to murder Americans in vast and infuriating numbers, to provoke America to vengeance, to incite global enmity of sectarian, Islam vs. non-Islam warfare?

No one in our INS knows either. And we have 4,000 FBI agents, playing an impossible game of catch-up, trying to sort out and find people, many of whom we know to a certainty are our enemies of exactly the same mind cast as the nineteen who hijacked our airliners and murdered 7,000 of us.

And if what I heard, or think I heard is true, ALL of the nineteen highjackers entered the US on six-month visas and overstayed them, without anyone looking for them.

Immigration policy failure? Not really. It is failure to HAVE an immigration policy.

Quiz. Of those foreign nationals who have appeared at JFK International Airport without permission to enter the United States between 1990 and 1999 inclusive and claimed asylum as political refuges whose lives would be in jeopardy were they returned to their homeland and who were granted admission pending review of their asylum application, what proportion actually appeared for their asylum hearings?:

A. 88%

B. 75%

C. 60%

D. 45%

The answer is none of these. According to an INS employee working at JFK, the appearance rate is significantly less than 1%. But the actual rate has not been calculated because no one wanted to know it. And where are these people? We don't know. If they've left the US, we don't know that either. There is absolutely no system in place to monitor immigration. The US is just one big roach motel.

No wonder Ossama bin Laden said he would use our openness and freedom to destroy us.

The benefits of an open border are economic and cultural. We must do everything we can to tear down our borders here in the United States and become a one-world nation! We need to replace the barrier we've erected with a banner that reads "Bienvenidos!"

...just like it happened many decades ago when the continental United States decided they had enough! It is the logical development.
