There might still be a slight doubt as to whether there was one or two fish in that hand...

For the record, hero is the certain one.

The advantage there is you can almost always reload and get it all back pretty quickly. Also open push on the flop.

Check the turn - what does he check-call the flop with that he will lay down ? You have the hearts, so he may well have a str8 (in this case he is just a muppet but still - you have to factor in 89 as a likely holding for check-call).

Make a note of this guy - he looks like an ATM !!

I donīt like raising A Q in the blinds after a couple of limpers. Take a free card on the turn.

I believe xorbie gives the best advice here, if your gonna go on tilt, push like a true pr0 /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Sourbeaver,

Hands like this are the reason I do not like to raise AQ/AQs when you are out of position. After you hit your flush draw, it is a very difficult hand to play. I also don't like betting more than the pot on the flop. 3/4 pot perhaps?

The turn is obviously the most difficult decision, and I don't think a check is awful.

For the record, the guy calling down with a pair of 2s + a gutshot is the fish /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If youre gonna push, I would push on the flop instead.
The tragic thing about your play is that villain would probably have paid you off if you had hit an ace, Queen or heart, so pushing is probably not nessecary against this particular opponent.
