View Full Version : Are you folding TPTK to a 2+2er on the river in these situations?

You raise AQ, AJ, etc. from EP, 2+2er (or solid non-donk) in MP/LP three bets. You flop TPTK, and you checkraise the flop and they 3 bet. Check, bet, call on turn.
Do you lay down unimproved to the river bet if you are heads up?
Thanks,

Ok, thanks for the input.
I never do, but lately that's been feeling like a mistake. Been wondering if I need to modify my play on this.

No, absolutely not, hunh-uh. I (think I) know why you're asking this because right now I am also going through one of those streaks; I show down a pair of Kings with AK and he has AA, I show down Jacks with AJ and he has QQ, etc. I maintain that you still can't fold here pretty much ever, not once you make it to the river.

not necessarily true, and getting more untrue by the day.
