I just bought the new Diet Coke with Splenda and really don't like the taste. Does anyone know the reason for the new version of Diet Coke? I would have thought they learned their lesson with New Coke (which I did like) back in the 80's.

The reason is that a lot of people really don't like the aftertaste associated with NutraSweet. And I'd say that Coke did learn their lesson -- regular DC is still available (they didn't just yank it). The inclusion of NutraSweet in C2, on the other hand, was idiotic.

As for the taste of DC w/ Splenda, meh.
