View Full Version : To professional BJ players
I was wondering what the average hourly rate is for counters.
I have no intention of doing this.

I made around 70k/year for several years not including comps. I also had zero expenses for smokes or food for over a year. I wouldn't consider myself a big player, I'm sure there are many others who made and are making much more.

Just out of curiosity, why did you stop if you were making 70k/year?

How is card counting possible nowadays with the deck changes/scrutiny against known counters/5 deck shoes, etc??

Ahhh, congratulations.
It is always interesting to me how successful, professional gamblers will seek a job outside of gambling and the stories that go along with these career changes.

$25 to $250, mostly double deck. Probably 50 hours a week, plus some scouting.
