Is it just me or is this site just horribly slow lately? My connection is ok as I can surf any other site without delay. Especially slow is getting to the list of forums. Just brutal.

I've been noticing the same thing. The graphics are the slowest part to load.

Me too. At first it was Main Index, now it's the whole site. Also, I don't get the email notifications for responses.

Same here, I really started to notice it in the last 2 days.

Hi everyone. We're aware of the problem and will be looking into ways to speed things up. Hopefully, we'll come up with something fairly soon.

best wishes,
Mason

Much better today, but still sluggish going to the list of forums.

For some strange reason, the T1 line at work is much slower than my 56k modem at home. Huh?

It's because the site is slower during work hours (presumably because nobody is actually working during work hours) than it is in the evening... it has nothing to do with the speed of your connections...

Except that I'm home when other people are at work, too.

sounds like it's time for Packeteer or some other form of packet shaping software. I'm glad that I'm getting out of IT.

The website is http://www.packeteer.com
